To create a cancer-less Kanyakumari through comprehensive awareness, early detection, prevention strategies, and holistic patient care.
Our Mission
To carry out cancer awareness, education, and support activities across all 6 blocks through existing structures, schools, colleges, and trained volunteers to ensure accessible cancer care for all.
Structure of Functioning
Operations across 6 blocks (Kurunthencode, Thuckalay, Killiyoor, Munchirai, Melpuram, Thiruvattar) with volunteer networks at village, block, and diocesan levels. Partnership with St. Xavier's Multispecialty Hospital.
Aims & Objectives
The campaign aims to create awareness about cancer, its risk factors, and preventive methods; strengthen volunteer networks for early detection; provide comprehensive patient care including medical, psychological, and financial support; and build community participation in cancer prevention and care initiatives.

Village Level Activities
- Cancer awareness programs - 14 locations in 2025 with 1,645 participants
- Health camps with 865 consultations and 69 referrals for further treatment
- Mammogram screening programs - 9 women screened
- Community health education on risk factors and prevention
- Patient identification and home visits - 296 patients visited in 2025
Block and Diocesan Level Activities
- World Cancer Day celebrations with rallies and awareness campaigns
- Block-level volunteer meetings - monthly in all 6 blocks with 8-12 volunteers attending
- Diocesan level volunteer meetings with capacity building trainings
- Sr. Godelieve palliative cancer care visits - 254 patients reached in 2025
- Christmas celebrations with 300 cancer patients and 165 caregivers
- Financial assistance programs - 76 patients supported with Rs. 9,13,032 in 2025
- Testimonial sharing by Persons With Lived Experience (PWLE)
- Welfare assistance distribution by diocesan leadership
