    Structure of Functioning

    Village level groups (Sangam), Zonal level (Vattaram) and District level coordination. There are 4 Zones called Mulavilai Zone, Karungal Zone, Thuckalay Zone and Thirithuvapuram Zone.

    Aims & Objectives

    To work for the development of the people of all villages within the Thiruvattar, Killiyoor, Kalkulam, and Vilavancode taluks of Kanyakumari district, without discrimination based on caste, religion, or ethnicity.

    To educate rural men and women to become agents of social changes so as to fight against evils of alcoholism, broken families, superstitions, injustice against women etc.

    To train women to become capable of forming their own organizations (Women’s Association) and to work for all rights available to them.
    What We Do

    Activities

    Encouraging small savings among the people, connecting them, and guiding them towards economic self-reliance.

    Starting businesses that encourage employment and showing pathways for self-employment.

    Assisting in obtaining government schemes and assistance.

    Conducting short-term and long-term training programs to bring about social, economic, and cultural transformation.

    Orientations conducted to help people obtain basic necessities and fundamental rights such as education, health, and social awareness.

    Motivation programs to grow in social engagement and social harmony.

    Skill trainings to the members to plan and act for development in all spheres of life.

    Encouraging participation and election in Panchayat systems, community groups, parish councils, etc.

    Observing days such as International Women’s Day, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Anti-Drug Day, and Human Rights Day.
